About
Hot water, properly mapped.
Planet Hotsprings exists for one reason: finding a hot spring is easy, but working out how to actually get into it is not. Opening hours, unpaved access roads, tide windows, nudity rules, tattoo policies, community entrance fees and scalding source temperatures are scattered across dozens of pages in dozens of languages.
We collect all of it into one place — a single world map where every red dot is somewhere you can sit in naturally hot water, from a 1,300-year-old onsen town in Gunma to a free stretch of Icelandic river you have to hike an hour to reach.
Every entry carries coordinates, a water temperature, the type of bathing, and a members-only access section written for someone arriving for the first time. Entries are reviewed and corrected as conditions change; springs close, roads wash out and rules get tightened, so if you find something out of date, tell us.
